Pattern Making (462 hrs.)

Specialized training in the latest methods of pattern grading, marker making and pattern making is the emphasis in this program. The students are expected to learn and master the development of basic patterns and the principles of pattern making and body combination. Specifically, students will learn tailoring measurement, making patterns, grading, sample cutting and sample sewing, dart manipulation, added fullness, contouring, lining, imperfect pattern correction, and body fit correction. By the end of this course, students will gain first-hand knowledge of apparel production procedures including how to draft patterns from a design line, and produce patterns according to industry specifications. |
