Business Computer and Networking Applications (400 hrs)
(200 Lecture Hours + 200 Lab Hours)
In this program, students will learn Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook under most up-to-date version of operating system, e.g. Windows XP. Assembling, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting personal computers (PC) are also the criteria for this program. Plus, students will study the basic concepts of business networking. The program moves step by step, from a basic knowledge of computer hardware components, software applications, to a professional level of network settings. The program introduces students with the PC installation procedures, operating system configurations (Windows 2000/XP or later edition), Local Area Network setup, Internet security, antivirus software, firewalls, and wireless networks. It also covers topics include organizational utilization of electronic information resources, as well as Internet application planning, development, implementation and control for enterprise-wise information systems typically used in e-commerce. |
